About Fix My Speaker
Fix My Speaker is a free, browser-based tool that helps clean and test phone speakers, earbuds, laptops, and small Bluetooth speakers using generated audio tones.
What the tool does
The tool generates precise audio tones through your device speaker using the Web Audio API. Different frequency ranges target different problems:
- Water eject mode uses low-frequency sweeps (150–185 Hz) to vibrate trapped water droplets out of speaker grilles.
- Dust mode uses a wider frequency sweep (90–260 Hz) to loosen light debris and lint.
- Sound test mode sweeps through a diagnostic range (220–880 Hz) to help identify crackling, dropouts, or weak spots.
- Ear speaker mode targets higher frequencies (2000–4200 Hz) matched to the earpiece driver used during phone calls.
Our approach
We focus on practical steps, honest guidance, and clear limits. Speaker cleaner tones can help with surface-level water and dust, but they are not a substitute for professional repair when hardware is damaged.
Every guide includes safety warnings, realistic expectations, and clear advice on when to stop using the tool and seek repair help.
